The rotary disc filter is a high-efficiency, continuous-operation filtration system designed for robust solid-liquid separation in industrial and municipal wastewater treatment. It excels in removing suspended solids from process streams, ensuring clarified effluent and reduced downstream processing load.
Design and Operating Principle:
The system features a series of vertical discs mounted on a central rotational shaft. Each disc is segmented into sectors covered with specialized filter media, tailored to the specific particle size distribution of the application.
During operation, the filter discs rotate slowly while partially submerged in the wastewater slurry. A controlled vacuum inside the central shaft draws liquid through the filter media, trapping solid particles on the disc surfaces to form a filter cake. The clarified filtrate passes through and is evacuated from the system.
As the discs rotate out of the slurry, the adhered solids are transported to the discharge zone. Here, the filter cake is cleanly and automatically removed, typically by a combination of reverse air blow and mechanical scrapers. The cleaned media re-enters the slurry tank, ensuring a continuous and automated filtration cycle with minimal operator intervention and high efficiency.

2. The whole plant machinery size are large as normal, so we will use Waterproof cloth to pack all of them. The motor, gear box or other easily damaged parts, we will put them into box. We have a professional shipping department, they will try their best to save your container quantity.
