Horizontal Decanter Centrifuge for Olive Oil Separation
Introduction
The Decanter Centrifuge is a high-efficiency industrial separation system designed for continuous solid-liquid separation. It is widely used across various industries, including olive oil production, where it effectively clarifies oil by removing solids and moisture.
This equipment utilizes centrifugal force to separate components of different densities within a mixture. By rotating at high speeds, it accelerates the natural settling process, enabling rapid and efficient segregation of solids from liquids.
Working Principle
The decanter centrifuge operates by rotating a cylindrical bowl at high speed, generating strong centrifugal forces. This process causes denser solid particles to settle against the wall of the bowl, while the lighter liquid phase (such as purified olive oil) forms an inner layer. An internal scroll conveyor continuously moves the deposited solids toward the discharge outlets, allowing both phases to be ejected separately and continuously.
