Application
The activated carbon filter is a widely used water treatment device. Filled with high-quality activated carbon, it serves as an effective pretreatment unit for desalination systems. It protects downstream reverse osmosis membranes and ion exchange resins from oxidation and contamination by removing free residual chlorine, significantly reducing water color and eliminating odors.
Activated carbon consists of fine carbon particles with a large specific surface area and a network of micropores (capillaries). This structure provides strong adsorption capacity, allowing full contact with and retention of impurities. The adsorption efficiency is directly proportional to the contact time with water—longer contact results in higher-quality filtered water.
Structure and Working Principle
The activated carbon filter is a essential pretreatment component in water desalination systems. It adsorbs residual chlorine that could not be removed by preceding filters, extending the service life of subsequent equipment and improving overall treated water quality.
It effectively prevents oxidation damage to downstream reverse osmosis membranes and ion exchange resins from residual chlorine, while also adsorbing trace organic pollutants, colloids, pigments, heavy metal ions, and odors. The system also contributes to COD (Chemical Oxygen Demand) reduction, making it critical for industrial wastewater purification.

Packing and Delivery
1. Waterproof packing with the international export standard by 20ft, 40ft, 40hp container. Equipment Fittings, Electric Motor and Power Cabinet will be packed in Wooden Case or Iron Box. Other Equipment will be packed by Color-Stripes Plastic Cloth.
2. The whole plant machinery size are large as normal, so we will use Waterproof cloth to pack all of them. The motor, gear box or other easily damaged parts, we will put them into box. We have a professional shipping department, they will try their best to save your container quantity.
