Automated Continuous High-Speed Disc Stack Centrifugal Separator
Description
The disc stack centrifugal separator is an advanced industrial system designed for the continuous and efficient separation of mixtures based on differences in particle density and size. By harnessing powerful centrifugal forces, it enables precise solid-liquid phase separation, making it ideal for applications in chemicals, pharmaceuticals, food processing, and wastewater treatment.
Separation Process
Feed Introduction
The mixture—comprising solid particles suspended in a liquid—is fed continuously into the rotating bowl of the centrifuge.
High-Speed Rotation
The stacked disc rotor rotates at high speed, generating intense centrifugal forces that act on the particles within the liquid.
Differential Migration
Denser particles are driven radially outward toward the periphery of the discs.
Lighter components remain closer to the central axis.
Stratified Layer Formation
Distinct layers form as a result of the differential migration: denser solids accumulate at the outer region, while clarified liquid or lighter phases concentrate near the center.
Continuous Extraction
Separated components are discharged continuously through designated outlets:
Solids are ejected from the periphery.
Clarified liquid is extracted from the inner zone.
This automated process ensures high throughput, consistency, and minimal operator intervention, making it suitable for demanding industrial settings.
