30 m³/H Carbon Steel Activated Carbon Filter for River & Groundwater Treatment with Multi-Media Sand Filtration
The activated carbon filter is a widely used water treatment system designed to serve as a pretreatment unit for desalination and purification processes. It effectively removes residual chlorine that persists after previous filtration stages, thereby safeguarding downstream equipment—such as reverse osmosis membranes and ion exchange resins—from oxidative damage and contamination.
Additionally, the filter adsorbs trace organic compounds and pollutants that may leak from upstream processes. It significantly eliminates odors, colloids, color, heavy metal ions, and reduces COD (Chemical Oxygen Demand), ensuring that the influent to the RO system meets stringent quality standards: SDI < 5 and TOC < 2.0 ppm.
Product Features
High Adsorption Efficiency: Formed from granular activated carbon, the filter effectively traps organic impurities without clogging, ensuring consistent flow rate and adsorption performance. The carbon is easy to transport and replace.
Biochemical Degradation & Surface Catalysis: The activated carbon facilitates biodegradation and catalytic reaction, enhancing the breakdown of refractory organic compounds.
Advanced Organic Removal: Capable of removing dissolved organic pollutants that are resistant to conventional biological or oxidative treatment methods.
Application Scenarios
Drinking Water Purification: Improves taste, odor, and color, delivering clean and aesthetically pleasing potable water.
Brackish Water Treatment: Effectively removes bitter and astringent tastes, producing water quality superior to conventional tap water.
Advanced Wastewater Treatment: Enhances the removal of dissolved organic pollutants, significantly upgrading overall treatment efficiency.
Pretreatment for Ion Exchange, Electrodialysis & RO Systems: Protensitive resin and membranes from organic fouling and chlorine attack, ensuring extended service life and reliable operation.
